Sollatek Electronics (Kenya) Limited is a market leader in voltage protection and solar technology products. We commenced operations in 1985 and are the East African franchise for Sollatek UK. We currently have a distribution and service network covering Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi. We retail, wholesale and provide after-sales service through a region-wide distribution network. Our main areas of focus are voltage switching, voltage regulation – both domestic and industrial, voltage suppression, UPSs, power back–up, solar lighting (portable and PICO) and larger solar systems.

About the person we seek

We are looking to hire a young (25-30 years old) dynamic individual (male or female) stationed in Mombasa county. S/he must have a full knowledge of the said county and deep understanding of the said region. His/her major roles will involve creating outlets in the region to stock our products,  ensuring penetration of Sollatek power control equipment in both domestic and industrial

sector and to manage sollatek accounts in the local and national chain supermarkets by ensuring good stock levels, good display and training of staff handling the said products on the functionality and product knowledge. Prepare weekly reports to Regional Sales manager and meet their individual monthly targets S/He Must be able to travel throughout the region 80% of the time

  • Be a Kenyan citizen
  • Be an holder of Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (business related field or Electrical Engineering preferred)
  • Have at least 1-2 years’ experience in sales of FMCGs, Solar/Electrical products (Preferred)
  • Deeper understanding of Solar lanterns and Power control equipment will be an added advantage
  • Be able to demonstrate planning and organizational skills
  • Be fully computer literate and very familiar with MS Office
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication as well as presentation skills
  • Show potential to have a strategic outlook and possess supervisory skills (this will enable achievement of career growth into management)
